Today I got a chance to shoot at a Quinceañera. For those of you that are unfamiliar with that, it’s essentially a Sweet 16 when you’re 15 in the Mexican culture. One of the traditions is the changing of the shoe from a “little girl shoe” to a high heel by the young woman’s father. This is a symbolic gesture of her transition into womanhood. These were her “little girl” shoes.
