I’m not a highly technical man but I do like to occasionally tinker with electronic projects. It’s also no secret that I’m a Disney Geek and have a tremendous amount of respect for Disney Imagineers and the work they do. That respect is possibly the reason why this project was a total geekgasm for me! In one of the coolest projects that I’ve ever seen assigned, an instructor at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay, WI, had his students create full scale replica’s of Wall-E! The video presented below mostly consists of explanations regarding the mechanical components and the machinery used to create the Wall-E clones. It’s very geeky talk for you not interested in it but it’s worth it if you want to see the full sized Wall-E’s move! The best part? At the end of video 2 he tells you how and where you can get everything you need to build your own!! *insert cheesy dance segment here*
Oh yeah, if you watch the first couple of minutes of the first video, there is a cool surprise for you Star Wars fans.
