“When you wish upon a star…”
I have to say that this iconic song hasn’t left my head in the last couple of weeks. Last week marked a huge milestone for me when the Disneyland Twitter account started following me and I have loved interacting with them so very much (check out the Instareview (week 16 – 2014) post)! I know that it may not seem like a big deal to many of you but it’s a huge deal to me since I’m such a big fan of Disney. Last week also marked an Instagram (@heyzenc) milestone for me: I received 100+ Likes on one of my photos! Which one? The one with this lovely couple:
I seriously can’t express to everyone how much it meant to me that you took the time to double-tap and make that little heart appear. Thank you all so much!
Tuesday night (Wednesday morning) brought us the dreaded “blood moon”. Why is it dreaded? It’s not. 🙂 I know that there was all this talk floating around about it being the end of the world (again) and all but it was just a lunar eclipse. The name comes from the color that we see because of the atmosphere. As always I kicked off the week with a #MatterhornMonday photo. The rest of the week brought one of the oldest games of ‘Hungry Hungry Hippos’, the possibility of being swallowed alive by a whale, a wild ride through the wilderness, some Easter goodness from the Disneyland resort and then meeting potential clients at the Serra Resort in Malibu on Saturday afternoon.
During this Easter season, Disneyland had some artists that were oozing talent from their ears back in the Big Thunder Ranch area painting Easter Eggs with some of our favorite Disney characters. I actually posted a photo of one of these artists in the Instareview (week 15 – 2014) post. All of the eggs and designs were fantastic and had a lot of really intricate details including some three-dimensional eggs (by adding fur, horns, noses, etc). If this is done again next year and you have the ability to make it out to the parks, I definitely recommend checking them out in person.
It was a great week all around and one I won’t forget any time soon especially since I got a late night surprise yesterday as Disneyland closed out the evening with one of my Easter tweets.
* happy sigh*
Have a great week everyone!
