I believe that one of the coolest things you can do for a person is restore a photograph. With time, pictures fade and they lose their luster. Restoring a photo can help a person regain lost time and bring back some great memories (and unfortunately sometimes bad ones).
My cousin, David, decided that he wanted to go in reverse and said that he wanted something to hang in his living room. By the way, totally honored that he would allow something that I’ve taken to hang in his home. Anyway, his exact words were:
“I want a picture of the San Dimas mansion but I want a picture that is really old looking. Something that looks like you just took it out of the attic some years ago.”
Challenge excepted! I went out to take a few pictures of the Saffron House (the San Dimas mansion) and got started. As usual I got extremely carried away and ended up with this:
