I have to say that I absolutely love Dapper Day at Disneyland! The day was the brainchild of a Burbank designer named Justin Jorgensen which became reality back in February of 2011. The idea came to Jorgensen while on a consulting job with Disney Imagineering as he was looking through old concept art created by, Disney Legend, Herb Ryman. In a nutshell, the idea was to have a day where everyone dressed up to go the park (Disneyland) as portrayed in the old concept work. Simple, right? The inaugural Dapper Day saw about 200 devoted fans and since then has turned into a bi-annual event with upwards of 20,000 park-goers at not only Disneyland but also at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris.
Below are some photos from the 2015 Spring Dapper Day event at Disneyland. If you repost your photo, please use my hashtag (#HeyzenPhoto) and I would love it if you could tag me! I’m @heyzenc on Instagram and @heyzen on Twitter.
Hope you all had a wonderful Dapper Day and hope to see you all in September!
