Instareview (week 24-2014)

This last week was great! My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary by having dinner at Steakhouse 55 inside of the Disneyland Hotel and the food was great! I have some comments on that but I’ll leave them for a more “formal” review but in general the food was great. During the meal the manager came by and asked how we were doing and asked if we were celebrating anything special. We explained why were there and he wished us a Happy Anniversary and left. After our meal we were surprised by our waiter when he brought us this really cute chocolate mousse dessert in the shape of a Mickey head with a piece of chocolate that read ‘Happy Anniversary’. That was definitely a very nice gesture to add to the magic.

Speaking of magic. Friday night we headed back to the Magic Castle in Hollywood. For those of you that don’t know, the Magic Castle is home to the Academy of Magical Arts and is basically where magicians from all over the world get to together to share secrets, perform, etc. One of the hardest things that I can hear anywhere that I go are the words “No photos allowed“. Sigh. They’re actually pretty strict about this becaise you can’t even do a selfie. With that said, here’s a photo I was able to take as we were waiting for the valet to bring back our car.

I also learned this last week that the sound that a goat makes is referred to as a “bleat”. How do you get “bleat” from “baaaaahhhhh” or even “meeeeehhhhhhhh”? Right? Anyhow, I think my favorite post this week was the photo of the ‘U.B. Bold‘ train from Big Thunder Mountain. Did you have a favorite? Post a comment below. 🙂
