My friend, Jenny, is part of the U.S. Army Cadet Command and goes to school in Massachusetts. A couple of weeks ago, she came home for winter break and she asked me if I could take some portraits of her to give to her parents to which I happily agreed. Jenny’s mom joined us as we went out for our photo session on a nice quiet Sunday in Downtown Pomona and although we ran into a couple of problems (like when I dropped my camera due to my strap coming undone and breaking the attached lens; more on this later) we were able to get some great shots that Jenny was very happy with! Jenny radiates happiness through her constant smiling and laughing, this made for a wonderful afternoon with both her, her mom and Starbucks’ Crème brûlée coffee (which I tried for the first time; spoiler: it was extremely sweet).
