Hello everyone and welcome to another installment of my humble little blog! It’s been a long time and a LOT of great things have been happening since I last wrote and can’t wait to to tell you all about it… in due time. 🙂
Today’s blog post is to talk about a recent DVD release from a young talented magician and a great friend, Wayne Houchin.
The Art of Magic is a very unique DVD release compared to other magic DVDs on the market because Wayne approaches this presentation not as a “learning DVD” but more as a documentary, a style that hasn’t been seen before in magic. This “experiment” (as Wayne calls it), includes interviews with other magicians in the industry that span several different styles of magic. Included are interviews with Aaron Fisher, David Regal and Dan and Dave Buck. Each of them talk about their experiences in magic, how they got into it and where they see magic in general today. In between these stories are 5 very powerful tricks that are taught in great detail. If there is a budding magician in your life or there is one that you know of, I definitely recommend this DVD! If you have a chance, check out Wayne’s article in the June issue of Genii Magazine. It was a great article spanning his interest in magic as a young boy to where his journey has brought him today.
