So, the purpose of this post is to help spread the word about some of the best playing cards that I have had the pleasure of working with! They are Lee Asher’s 605 cards! I blogged about these cards when they were first released (click here to see the original post). Since then, I have not only been using these cards for practicing my magic but we have also used them for playing poker. Although the cards were used for the game against my wishes, they held up exceptionally well in the skilled hands of drunken men that say they know how to shuffle. One of the biggest problems that I’ve experienced with other decks is that the corners bend very easily when shuffling and they keep a weird bend to them that is sometimes hard to get rid of. The 605s? I haven’t run into any of those problems yet and am more than pleased with my purchase!
As if the cards themselves weren’t good enough, Lee Asher and Wayne Houchin have teamed and created a contest in which you can win some of these 605s AND you can even win a whole uncut sheet of the cards directly from the manufacturer to frame! Maybe I’m a little more excited than most people about the uncut sheet because I love to collect decks of cards but come on! How freaking’ cool is that!?!
